I received a letter from a collection agency claiming that I owed SpeedConnect approximately $250.00. I have never heard of this company and had know knowledge of their claim.

I contacted the collection agency and demanded that provide evidence of the debt. They had no such evidence. I contacted my attorney who advised me how to handle the situation. I contacted Speedconnect directly and, while they also could not provide evidence of the claim, they refused to cancel the claim and discontinue collection efforts.

An accounts receivable supervisor refused to return my calls. Through my attorney, we demanded that they stop the claim and their harassing behavior and they refused. We sent them a registered letter stating that we were preparing a lawsuit against them and the collection agency.

They finally admitted that it was an error. I can't imagine anyone doing business with them.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.
