Speed Connect service goes down on a weekly basis, there are definite lag times, especially when tourists flood the area hotels and businesses. When the internet goes down it is impossible to get an answer as to when the service will be back up. We have been promised upgraded equipment at the house, better towers and "4G" is coming soon. Service is super slow.. and constantly losing connection.. was promised when i signed up that I'd be able to get into another promo deal after the 12 month were up!! All lies my bill will double.. then didn't disclose a 2 year contract and told me if i cancelled I'd be liable for a $250 fee.
Our internet shuts down once or twice a day everyday. I hate that it does that but its cheap so, what can I really expect, ya know? My fiance gets the net up and running quicker than the reps do. I won't leave speedconnect though, they are cheap and to me, fixing it a couple times a day is worth the trouble. I just wish they would offer me something for calling in so much with outage issues. Better then local Thumb Cellular's AVCI - which says very little. Polite tech support. But still very poor internet service.
Absolutely the worst internet / phone system I have ever had in my life. This system works less than adequate less than barely. Always troubleshooting always calling tech support neighbor is a speedconnect technician so I go to him. I have had it. My phone works whenever it wants to which is unacceptable. I just moved to Prescott a few days ago and I read about SpeedConnect online. I called to verify I could get service and they seemed very friendly and decent. I wanted to go for the 70 dollar unlimited 15Mbps plan. Seems fairly reasonable, since CableOne has data caps that you can blow through in a day. Anyway, I just had service "installed" today. The service has never worked as fast as they claim. You refuse to pay for service you aren't receiving and a $15.00 late fee is attached! This is poor quality and had the technician come out supposedly fixed the error and same thing! Can we get some good service around here? No you have switch...sad!
I am sick and tired of slow internet. Not to mention outages on an almost bi-weekly basis. Was a customer of Commspeed before they were bought out by Speedconnect.
